Specifically designed for power stations, it meets the temperature measurement requirements of 300 000 kW and 600 000 kW generator sets and their auxiliary equipment. It directly measures liquids, steam and gaseous media as well as solid surfaces within -100 °C to 800 °C in various production processes.
The electrodes of a thermocouple are made of two different conductor materials. When a temperature difference exists between the measuring junction and the reference junction, a thermoelectric EMF is generated, and the indicating instrument displays the temperature value corresponding to that EMF.
The resistance thermometer measures temperature by means of the characteristic that the resistance of a substance changes with temperature. When the resistance value changes, the indicating instrument displays the temperature value corresponding to that resistance.

For thermocouples, at an ambient temperature of 20±15 °C, relative humidity not exceeding 80%, and a test voltage of 500±50 V (DC), the insulation resistance between the electrode and the outer sheath shall be ≥ 100 MΩ·m.
For RTDs, at an ambient temperature of 15–35 °C, relative humidity not exceeding 80%, and a test voltage of 10–100 V (DC), the insulation resistance between the electrode and the outer sheath shall be ≥ 100 MΩ.
