Usually used together with indicating instruments, recording instruments and computer systems. It directly measures liquids, steam and gaseous media as well as solid surfaces within 0–1300 °C at production sites where explosive hydrocarbons are present.
Explosion-proof thermocouples / RTDs work on the flame-gap principle. Components such as the terminal head are designed with sufficient strength, and all parts that could produce sparks, arcs or dangerous temperatures are sealed inside the terminal head enclosure. When an explosion occurs inside the enclosure, the flame is extinguished and cooled through the joint gap so that the flame and temperature cannot be transmitted outside, thus allowing temperature measurement.
For explosion-proof thermocouples, at an ambient temperature of 15–35 °C, relative humidity not exceeding 80%, and a test voltage of 500±50 V (DC), the insulation resistance between the electrode and the outer sheath shall be ≥ 100 MΩ·m.
For explosion-proof RTDs, at an ambient temperature of 15–35 °C, relative humidity not exceeding 80%, and a test voltage of 10–100 V (DC), the insulation resistance between the resistor and the outer sheath shall be ≥ 100 MΩ.
○ Various explosion-proof types with good explosion-proof performance,
